Why Every Box Matters šŸŒ

At Cotswold Veg Box, we believe thatĀ what you eat and where it comes from matters.

Every week, when you choose our seasonal veg box, you’re doing something quietly powerful for your plateĀ andĀ the planet.Ā So for World Environment Day, we wanted to say thank you. šŸ’šĀ Here’s how your weekly box is already making a difference:

🌾 Supporting local farms

We source as much as we can from local growers and wholesalers, which means fewer food miles, less packaging, and more money staying within the community. This partnership goes much further than just buying veg, we also send all of the crates our veg arrives in back to growers in our own village to be reused by them to pack and send the fruit and veg growing in their fields and orchards.

ā™»ļø Cutting down waste

Our boxes are designed to work with nature, not against it. That means buying seasonal produce every week, just enough to fulfil the orders we get from you guys, to reduce our food waste output. We try to make plastic free choices wherever possible and only ever add recyclable packaging to our product. Using Cotswold Veg Box will vastly reduce your plastic waste output and we'll even collect the cardboard box from you to be reused again.

šŸŒ Eating with the seasons

Seasonal eating isn’t just tastier — it’s smarter. It supports biodiversity, reduces energy use, and keeps your meals aligned with what nature’s growing right now. The natural variation in your diet when eating seasonally will make sure you're getting a range of different minerals and vitamins, forming the base for a healthy, balanced diet throughout the year.

🌿 Keep making a difference, one box at a time

World Environment Day is a reminder, but your choices speak all year round by choosing local, seasonal produce, you're already doing something meaningful.
